End users Warranty Pack

The service is addressed to customers with the On Site “Warranty Pack” (at the customer’s location) warranty contract stipulated with Intercomp or requiring On Site interventions without a predefined “Warranty Pack” contract.

Warranty conditions

The warranty refers to the repair at Intercomp S.p.A. Service Centres or the free replacement of the components, recognized as malfunctioning due to manufacturing defects.

The warranty will be immediately invalidated if unauthorized repairs are made or attempted by unauthorized personnel.

The warranty provides for the restoration of the system to the original factory conditions. Therefore, it does not provide for the loading of operational or application software or the restoration of the operating environment previously created or configured by the customer.

The operating system will be reinstalled only if present in the original configuration of the device supplied by Intercomp S.p.A. In this case, it will be reinstalled and configured as it happens on new factory systems, without any customization requested by the user.

The warranty is applicable for products accompanied by a copy of the purchase document. Intercomp reserves the right to request the exhibition of the original document.

If the customer does not have a copy of the delivery document of the Intercomp S.p.A. product, the duration of the warranty will be determined on the basis of the production date of the device, resulting from its serial number.

Except for different conditions defined by contract, the defective product must be sent to the Service Centre at the expense of the purchaser, using the original packaging or in any case able to protect it adequately during the transport phase.

Products that are insufficiently or inadequately packaged will be rejected. Intercomp S.p.A. will not be responsible for damage resulting from loss, theft or failures that may occur during transport.

Intercomp declines all responsibility in case of loss of computer data contained in the apparatus (Computer, HD, FD, tapes or other types of memory) attributable to any cause.

The repair and verification procedures of some components may result in the deletion of data and/or programs in the device memories.

Before sending the product to the Service Centre or in any case before the intervention of authorized technicians for warranty work, we invite you to save or back up data and programs.

Following repair, the fixed or replaced components will be covered by this warranty for the remaining warranty period of the product.

The failed parts replaced under warranty will become property of Intercomp S.p.A.

To offer the warranty service Intercomp S.p.A. may, at its discretion, use service partners approved by Intercomp S.p.A. itself.

Warranty exclusions

The warranty covers only and exclusively faults or malfunctions arisen during the period covered by the guarantee itself for material and/or manufacturing anomalies.

The warranty does not provide for the restoration of the operating and application environment. The operating system will be reinstalled in the way it was delivered to the customer. The warranty automatically expires in the event of:

  • tampering, alteration, replacement or repair of the product carried out by unauthorized persons;
  • tampering, abrasion, cancellation or removal of the serial number shown on the product, its components and accessories.

The warranty is expressly excluded in case of:

  • impacts, falls, faults or defects attributable to external causes;
  • accidents or improper use by the purchaser or third parties;
  • incorrect configuration of parts, components, devices, peripheral equipment and programs;
  • malfunctions of the power grid;
  • use of the device in not suitable environments;
  • faults or defects caused by parts not belonging to the computer and/or deriving from the conflict with additional components;
  • damage caused by viruses;
  • natural or fortuitous events.

Specifically excluded from the warranty:

  • the software, operating and basic systems supplied with the computer;
  • the components which, due to normal wear, require periodic maintenance or replacement;
  • components or accessories purchased separately;
  • restoration interventions.

The warranty does not cover marginal defects that have an irrelevant effect on the value or functionality of the product.

Sending the product to the Service Centre does not necessarily mean free repair under warranty: upon receiving the product, the Service Centre reserves the right to verify the validity of the warranty.

Repairs that do not fall under the warranty conditions will be charged at the prices in effect at the time of repair. In case no faults or malfunctions are found, the Service Centre will also charge a fixed fee of intervention.
